Our good friends and long time sponsors of The Run Rally, Wrap Legends invited us down for their first Open Session; an event where they invite the public to spectate while wrapping various projects. For this installment, they chose to take on a bull from their very own stable and cover it’s hide with a BAPE x Kaws collaborative print (sold under the Baby Milo brand).
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Wrap Legends, this isn’t the first time they’ve wrapped one of their cars with a BAPE print. Their first BAPE inspired wrap covered their Porsche Panamera Turbo (pictured below).
Will (part owner) mentioned while talking to him that they wanted to wrap their Lambo in a scheme that some will love and some will hate. “We want to evoke emotion with this build. Whether you love it or hate it, we hope that this car makes you feel some type of way. And wait to you see the wheels…” – Will Brice.
We agree that this build is definitely a controversial one, but we’re all for defying the status quo so we’re anxious to see how the final product turns out. The car is scheduled to tour local LA based car shows this year, including Racewars on March 4th where they will display with AMU and The Run Rally in a 50 car lineup. Check out the video below to hear the deafening custom exhaust and a few words from Anaheim’s greatest WRAPPER.
Sorry, we forgot to mention that you may go deaf if you watched that video with headphones. #SorryNotSorry.
Now for the rest of the pics.
Some asshole pulled a Rick James move on their car a few weeks ago and damaged the original hood. Good reason for an upgrade right??? NOT!
As we were about to leave for the day the 3 piece Rotiform ROC’s arrived fresh from the powder coat shop. And Will was right, if people are mad about the wrap, they definitely will be mad at the wrap + wheels. lol. But we feel it would have been foolish to leave the wheels black, a build like this one deserves some wheels that pop.
We arrived on day 2 of the wrap so unfortunately we didn’t get to shoot the car once it was complete and reassembled. Make sure you follow Wrap Legends to see the final product.
Will assured us that there were more projects in the cue so if you missed this Open Session event, you’ll definitely have an opportunity to drop by for the next event. The pics below are hints at what might be next on the list.
As always, thanks for reading and make sure you keep up with on IG to tie you over until the next post. @AutoMobileUploads.
